COURSE INFORMATION

Course: 

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and CPR refresher training due every 12 months is a nationally

recognised course.  CPR Training equips you with the skills to perform potentially life-saving cardiopulmonary

resuscitation, including the use of a defibrillator. (Annual cpr refresher)

Format:  

Online learning and short practical face to face assessment

Duration: Online learning (video and short multiple choice quiz) approx. 60 minutes. 

Practical assessment on the day 45-60 minutes.

​​Overview: 

This course provides the skills to recognise and then manage a casualty who is unconscious and is not breathing. Learning CPR is a lifesaving technique which can sustain life until an ambulance arrives. You will cover the action plan – DRSABCD.

Recommended for: 

Ideal for the general public, designated first aiders, health and safety managers and anyone who needs a CPR certificate for the workplace or their vocational qualification.

Entry requirements: 

Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins. Course registration requires a student to provide their unique student identifier number (usi).  If you do not have one or cannot find it go to www.usi.gov.au

Pre-course study:

Students may be required to undertake online pre-course work prior to attending the face to face session depending on the course delivery mode.

Online study:

Students must have access to a computer, tablet or other electronic device with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies. The online learning component must be completed prior to the practical assessment.

Assessment requirements:

Outcome: 

With successful completion students will receive a nationally accredited certificate as statement of attainment for the unit of competency achieved.
